You can create a standard journal from the journals home page.
This topic does not cover the currency override functionality available in journal entry. If you are working in a multi-currency environment and want to know how to apply currency overrides, see Overriding Currency Values and Rates on a Journal.
Classic Edition
To create a new standard journal:
Click the Journals tab.
Click
New next to Recent Journals on the journals home page.
Accept, or amend, the default journal date (today).
Accept, or amend, the default journal currency (home).
[Optional] Click Validate on the button bar to check the journal as a whole is valid for posting.
When you have finished, click Save. You can also click Save & New to save the changes to the current record and then immediately begin to create another.
When the journal is ready to go, click Post. A posted journal has a status of "Complete". Instead of clicking Save and then Post separately, you can click Save & Post to perform both actions together.
