This is an optional feature of FinancialForce Accounting for those users who want to override currency values or rates on the journal header or journal lines. You should read and understand the About Currency Overrides on Journals topic before attempting to override currency values.

To apply currency overrides at header level in Classic EditionThe view of the application that you see when you first install the base managed package.:
If you override the Journal Rate and Dual Rate, the rates used are stored on the journal header upon Save, and copied to the transaction line upon Post. If you do not override rates or values, then the current rates at the time of posting are applied.
To set your own debit value for each non-document currency at header level in Extended EditionThe view of the application that you see when you install one of the extension packages (such as the Cash Entry Extension package). For invoices, credit notes, and journals Extended Edition is integrated into the main package, but must be configured.:
On the journal header, enter a debit value into any or all of the following field pairs: Override Currency 1-3 and Total Override Debit Value 1-3.
