Deleting an Asset

You can delete assets with the status New, Rejected or Recalled, however for auditing reasons we strongly recommend that you dispose of the asset.

Even if you create a fixed asset record in error , we recommend that you dispose of the asset instead of deleting it. If an asset has been approved or is active, you cannot delete it. In this situation you must dispose of it. See Disposing of an Asset.

To delete an asset:

1. Click Delete on the Fixed Asset Detail page of the asset you want to delete or click Del next to the asset you want to delete on the fixed asset list view.
2. Click OK.
3. Click Delete.

   If the asset's status is not New, Rejected or Recalled, you cannot delete the asset.
4. Click Return.
