Setting up CFO Dashboards

Before you can use the CFO dashboards in Financial Analytics, you must configure them by mapping each key performance indicator (KPI) to the fields you want to include and optionally exclude from the data.

To perform these steps, ensure that you:

  • Have the Analytics Platform Admin permission set (if not, you can only make local settings changes for your current session).
  • Are using the Analytics Studio app (not the Analytics app).

To set up your dashboards:

  1. Open the dashboard you want to configure.
  2. Click .
  3. Click Edit to enter edit mode. To perform this step and continue with the configuration, you need the Analytics Platform Admin permission set.
  4. Click More, then select Pick Initial Values.
  5. Select the accounts you want to include and exclude for each KPI.
Note: All is displayed in the selection box if no accounts are selected.
  6. Select the balance type you require for your budget or plan. By default, this is the balance type selected as equivalent to Budget for your Reporting Balance type field.
  7. Click Done to save your dashboard.
  8. Click .
  9. ClickPreviewto enter preview mode and view your changes.
  10. Click to return to your dashboard.
Note: You must repeat this setup for each dashboard: CFO Overview, CFO Profitability Detail, CFO Balance Sheet Detail, CFO Profitability Trend Prediction and CFO Balance Sheet Trend Prediction.
Note: As with all dashboards in Analytics, when you change a field selection, any previously selected values remain selected. To avoid invalid configuration, always clear value selections if you change the corresponding field selection. For example, if you select Revenues in the Trial Balance 4 field, but later change the field to Trial Balance 3, you must clear the Revenues value selection. To clear a selection, click Arrow then click the checkbox next to the selected value.

Your dashboard KPIs are configured. To update these settings at any time from the Analytics Studio, click .

Warning:

To avoid incorrect evaluations, do not use duplicate names in your chart of accounts.
