Enabling the Analysis Items Feature

Note:

You only need to enable this feature if your org meets the following criteria:

  • You have upgraded to Foundations V4.1 (this functionality exists for new orgs by default)
  • You want to add the Analysis Item 1 to Analysis Item 4 fields on Billing Document and Billing Document Line Item

You do not need to enable this feature if you want to set up and use analysis items or analysis mappings functionality for other purposes.

The Analysis Items feature provides the following functionality:

  • Creates a permission set to view the following analysis item record types (Analysis Item 1 to Analysis Item 4)
  • Creates new Analysis Information sections on the page layout for Billing Document and Billing Document Line Item
  • Adds lookups to the Analysis Item object, named Analysis Item 1 to Analysis Item 4, to the new Analysis Information section
  • Creates nodes on the ERP/BillingDocument.Complete publication to enable you to transfer analysis item information to other apps using messaging
