Setting up Project Versioning and Baselines

To enable relevant users to create, compare, and delete project versions, and to set baseline projects, you must:

  1. Enable the relevant permission sets and permission controls.
  2. Edit your Project layout. For more information, see Customizing Page Layouts.

Permission Sets

To set up the permission set, edit the PSA - Project Versions permission set, and then select the relevant object and field permissions:

  • In the Object Permissions section, enable the relevant actions.
  • In the Field Permissions section, select the Read Access or Edit Access checkboxes for the relevant fields.

Permission Controls

In the Permissions section of the relevant permission control, select the following checkboxes:

  • Project Version Compare - Enables users to compare project versions.
  • Project Version Create - Enables users to create project versions.
  • Project Version Delete - Enables users to delete project versions.
