Resource Request Staffer Overview

Resource Request Staffer enables you to staff resource requests with resources in bulk by:

  • Matching resources
  • Shortlisting resources
  • Holding resources
  • Assigning resources
Note:

This feature is based on intelligent staffing and works optimally when staffing a large number of resource requests. For smaller staffing requirements, we recommend using the Resourcing tab on a resource request record, which also utilizes intelligent staffing. For more information, see Intelligent Staffing for a Resource Request and Managing Resource Requests.

Resource Request Staffer Tabs

Resource Request Staffer includes two tabs, Unmatched and Matched. You can perform different actions from each one.

Unmatched Tab

The Unmatched tab displays resource requests with a start date from today's date that are not matched. From this tab, you can:

  • Filter the displayed resource requests
  • Define priorities and weightings
  • View the details of suggested resources
  • Match resources

The Unmatched Resource Requests grid displays details of unmatched resource requests.

By default, the resource requests are sorted in ascending order according to their start date. You can click any column header to sort the resource requests according to the column value. The displayed order is used to determine the priority of the resource requests during the matching process.

You can also right-click the column header of a picklist or lookup field to group the resource request by the column value. An administrator can add custom columns.

For more information, see Unmatched Resource Requests Grid Fields.

Matched Tab

The Matched tab displays matched resource requests that are not held or assigned. From this tab, you can:

  • View the details of suggested and matched resources
  • Clear matched resources
  • Shortlist resources
  • Hold resources
  • Assign resources

The Matched Resource Requests grid displays details of matched resource requests.

You can click any column header to sort the resource requests according to the column value.

You can also right-click the column header of a picklist or lookup field to group the resource request by the column value. An administrator can add custom columns.

For more information, see Matched Resource Requests Grid Fields.
