Creating a CS Cloud Core Analytics App

You must be assigned the CSC - CS Cloud Analytics Setup permission set to create a new CS Cloud Core Analytics app. For more information, see Permission Sets and Other Technical Documentation.

To avoid errors in the creation of your app, we recommend you follow the steps described in Setting up the CS Cloud Core Analytics App before creating it.

When you create or update the CS Cloud Core Analytics app, we check that:

  • The Customer Success Cloud package is installed, and the license is not expired.

  • The Integration user has the Customer Success Cloud license assigned.

  • The Metric Account Values dataset has been created successfully in the org. This doesn't guarantee that the dataset is currently present in the org.
  • There is exactly one active CS Cloud Analytics setup record.

  • The API names of the account fields on the CS Cloud analytics setup record match the API names in the corresponding fields on the Account object.

Finally, when you create the CS Cloud Core Analytics app, we also check that the provided output connector name matches an existing output connector in the Create CS Cloud Core Analytics App window.

If these conditions are not met, then app creation does not occur.

Creating the CS Cloud Core Analytics App

To create the CS Cloud Core Analytics app, perform the following steps:

  1. From the App Launcher, navigate to CS Cloud Analytics Setup.
  2. Click New to create a new CS Cloud Analytics setup record. You can have unlimited CS Cloud Analytics setup records, but only one CS Cloud Core Analytics app.
  3. Click Save.
  4. This creates your CS Cloud Analytics setup record. You must set this record to "Active" before you can use it to create a new CS Cloud Core Analytics app.
  5. From the CS Cloud Analytics setup record, click Create CS Cloud Core Analytics App.
  6. Click Yes.

Your CS Cloud Core Analytics app is now created. You can check the progress of your app creation by clicking on the CS Cloud Analytics setup record in the app creation confirmation message, or navigating to Setup | Auto-Installed Apps | Apps.

Scheduling Recipes as an Administrator

If you have administrator permissions, you can set a schedule by following the steps below:

  1. In Analytics Studio, click Data Manager.
  2. Click the Recipes tab.
  3. Click Drop-down arrow | Schedule and enter your preferred date and time.
