Project Variance Settings

Here is a description of the custom settings available at a user or profile level for Project Variance calculations that are run in an asynchronous job.

Field Description Default
Exclude Inactive Projects If selected, inactive projects are excluded from the hours variance calculation. Selected
Enable Process Status Notification If selected, notifications from Project Variance asynchronous processes are sent to the user. Deselected
Notifications by Email If selected, notifications from Project Variance asynchronous processes are sent via email to recipients listed in the Notifications Recipients setting. False
Notifications Recipients Specifies the notification recipients for Project Variance asynchronous notifications sent via email. The value is a list of email addresses separated by semicolons (;). Null
DEPRECATED: Notifications by Task This field is obsolete. If selected, notifications from Project Variance batch processes are sent via tasks. False
Project Variance Chunk Size

The number of records to process in a single job. If the chunk size exceeds the set limit, then the default chunk size is used.

Note:

If you set the chunk size value too low, it will consume a larger portion of the org-wide asynchronous limit. If you exceed the limit, it may prevent other jobs from executing.

We recommend you contact the Salesforce Customer Support team if you need to increase the limit. For more information about the Apex limits on the Lightning Platform, see the Salesforce Help.
