For more information about Lightning App Builder, see the Salesforce Help.
Lightning Component Location
The Resource Request Staffer component is included on the Resource Request Staffer page by default. When using the component on this page, it displays resource requests for all available opportunities and projects. Users can apply filters to only load resource requests for specific opportunities and projects.
You can add the Resource Request Staffer component to project and opportunity record pages by editing those pages in the Lightning App Builder. When the component is embedded on a project or opportunity record page, it displays only resource requests related to the current project or opportunity. The fields to filter by project and opportunity are not available when the component is embedded on these record pages. For information about how to add the component to a record page, see "Lightning App Builder" in the Salesforce Help.
Availability
In Resource Request Staffer, you can set up the availability calculation to work in the following ways:
- The calculation considers a resource's total working hours available in their work calendar and their scheduled commitments, based on the start and end dates of the resource request.
- The calculation considers a resource's total working hours available in their work calendar and their scheduled commitments, compared with the preferred schedule on the resource request. This is worked out on a daily basis. The overall percentage value is determined using the difference between the total number of hours on the preferred schedule that the resource cannot fulfil, and the total number of hours on the preferred schedule. This is referred to as schedule availability.
To enable users to view matched resources based on the schedule availability calculation, follow the steps in Setting up Resource Availability to Account for Resource Schedules.
Configure the following availability settings using the Lightning App Builder from the Resource Request Staffer page:
- To set the minimum availability required for resources to be matched, configure the Minimum Availability Default Value (%) component property. If there is a staffing preference associated with a resource request and the Respect Staffing Preferences checkbox is selected, the minimum availability on the staffing preference overrides this default.
- To set the availability display format as a percentage or in hours, configure the Show Matched Resource Availability in Hours component property.
For more information, see Resource Request Staffer Lightning Component Properties.
