Expansion Opportunity Instance Overview

The Expansion Opportunity Instance helps you track the transition from customer success expansion efforts to sales opportunities. When you create a Salesforce opportunity from an expansion opportunity, an instance record is automatically generated to link the two.

This enables you to:

  • View all opportunities related to a specific expansion effort from the expansion opportunity instances related list.
  • Report on the success and conversion rate of expansion opportunities.
  • Maintain a clear audit trail of the hand-off between the CSM and Sales teams.
