Scheduling the Process to Update the Services Forecast Live Dataset

The Services Forecast Live dataset includes information about revenue, costs, and margin and is used as a basis for creating services forecasts.

To create a scheduled job to regularly update the Services Forecast Live dataset:

  1. Do one of the following:

    • From the PSA Administration tab, scroll down to the Services Forecasting section.
    • From the Services Forecast Setup tab, open the active services forecast setup record. If one does not already exist, you must create one. If you create a new active services forecast setup record when there is an existing scheduled job, there is no need to reschedule the job.
  2. Click Manage Services Forecast Live Dataset.
  3. For Schedule Frequency, select one of the following:

    • Hourly: if you want the job to run every hour.
    • Daily: if you want the job to run once every day.
    • Weekly: if you want the job to run on specific days of the week. You can then select the days.
    • Monthly: if you want the job to run once every month. You can then select a monthly method to determine on which day of the month the job runs.
  4. Select the preferred start time for the job.
  5. Click Create Scheduled Job. The job is now scheduled. Each time it runs, the Services Forecast Live dataset is updated with the latest data. However, additional processes must run before the data is available in existing forecasts or new forecasts are created. For more information, see Services Forecasting Scheduled Processes.
Note:

Any existing scheduled jobs are replaced when you reschedule a job. You can only have one update scheduled at a time.
