Planning Task Launcher Overview

The Planning Task Launcher groups together common data management and administration actions into a single location.

Mass Actions

The Mass Actions section contains the following actions:

You can delete up to 2,000 plans at once in a single background process. Use filters to find the plans that you no longer need, and then select the ones you want to delete.

You can create multiple plans at once without having to define the core parameters individually for each individual plan. This saves time, ensures consistency, and reduces the risk of manual errors.

You can send multiple plans to Analytics at the same time from the Plans list view.

You can schedule an automatic data refresh for the default scenario created from and linked to a data source. This eliminates the need for manual updates, ensuring data is kept current across multiple forecasts automatically.

You can use the mass update plan fields and filters process to update the plan fields, dimension and measure filters, and the dimension value mappings in all or for a select number of plans. For more information, see Mass Update Fields and Filters Process.

Services Forecasting

The Services Forecasting section contains the following actions:

You must have PSA installed in your org to use Services Forecasting features.

You can set up a scheduled process to delete obsolete project forecasts automatically each month, so that your forecasts remain accurate and the obsolete ones are not sent to Analytics.

You can delete plans from the Services Forecast Plans dataset to ensure that only the most accurate, relevant, and up-to-date plan information is retained.

You can delete plans in the following ways:

  • By plan age
  • By individual plan name
  • By selecting all existing plans
