Setting up the Accounts Payable Workspace

Installing the Workspace

In this release, the Accounting Workspaces is not currently part of the Accounting core product. Contact Certinia Onboarding to have the Accounting Workspaces package installed into your org.

Complete the following setup for your users to access the Accounts Payable workspace:

  1. The Accounting and Billing - Accounts Payable Workspace permission set provides access to the Accounts Payable Workspace. Assign the Accounting and Billing - Accounts Payable Workspace permission set to the users that require access to the workspace.
  2. Assign additional permission set to the users that require access to the workspace.
    • Accounting - Payable Invoice
    • Accounting - Payable Credit Note
    • Accounting - Payments Plus
    • Accounting - Cash Matching
    • Accounting - Cash Entry
  3. The workspace links to various parts of the product and is populated by the relevant records. To view the workspace correctly with populated data, you must ensure that your users have the Accounting and Billing - Select Company permission set in order to access the following object:
    • Company
  4. Manually add the Accounts Payable Workspace tab to any apps. By adding this tab to the relevant apps you gain maximum benefit from the Accounts Payable workspace, supporting your workflows, and reducing the time needed to access the information required in your role.
  5. Manually add the Accounts Payable Workspace tab permission on the profiles that require access to the workspace.
  6. To view the chart correctly, you must manually add this to each user:
    1. In the Reports tab click All Folders.
    2. For the FFA Workspace Report Templates folder click | Share.
    3. In the Names field search for the relevant users and click Share | Done.
