Importing Publications and Subscriptions

You can import publications and subscriptions from the Message Types list view.

To import publications and subscriptions:

  1. On the Message Types tab, click Messaging Import.
  2. Click Choose File, then choose the JSON file from which you want to import publications and subscriptions.
  3. Click Upload.
  4. [Optional] Select Ignore next to the publications and subscriptions that you do not want to include in the import. Publications and subscriptions are grouped by the developer name of the message type to which they belong.
  5. [Optional] If the conflicts section contains publications or subscriptions, select the action that you want to take for each publication or subscription:
    • Overwrite – Replaces the existing publication or subscription with the new one
    • Create – Creates a new publication or subscription and does not overwrite the existing one
    • Ignore – Excludes the publication or subscription
  6. Click Import.
Note:

Data transformation details are not imported with messaging data.

If you want to apply data transformation to imported messaging data, you can do the following:

  1. Ensure that data transformation tables and transformations are configured in the org you imported messaging data to.
  2. Navigate to the messaging relationship that contains the imported publication or subscription.
  3. Identify the field mappings that you want to apply data transformation to.
  4. Edit the field mappings and complete the following steps:
    1. Update the target type to be Transformed Data.
    2. Specify the target field and the data transformation table you want to apply to it.
    3. Click Save.
