Creating and Cloning Navigation Configurations

Use the Navigation Configuration Builder or Global Navigation Configuration Builder to create a navigation configuration, or rename or clone an existing navigation configuration.

Creating a Navigation Configuration

In the Navigation Configuration Builder:

  1. Click New in the header bar or the navigation panel.
  2. Enter a unique label for the configuration:
    • If you are using Navigation Configuration Builder, this label is displayed in the My Configurations list and the Navigation Configuration drop-down list of the FDN Navigation component in the Lightning App Builder.
    • If you are using Global Navigation Configuration Builder, this label is displayed in the My Configurations list. In the Navigation Configuration drop-down list of the FDN Navigation component in the Lightning App Builder, the configuration name is Certinia Navigation. This is a combination of all of the configurations in this navigation builder.

      • When you click outside this field, the API Name field is populated.

  3. [Optional] Edit the API name. This must be a unique name.
    Note: The combined character limit of the Prefix and API Name fields is 40 characters.
  4. Click Save.

Clone an Existing Navigation Configuration

In the Navigation Configuration Builder:

  1. Click the name of an existing navigation configuration in the Certinia Configurations or My Configurations list. The configuration details are shown in the navigation panel.
  2. Click Clone.
  3. Enter a unique label for the configuration:
    • If you are using Navigation Configuration Builder, this label is displayed in the My Configurations list and the Navigation Configuration drop-down list of the FDN Navigation component in the Lightning App Builder.
    • If you are using Global Navigation Configuration Builder, this label is displayed in the My Configurations list. In the Navigation Configuration drop-down list of the FDN Navigation component in the Lightning App Builder, the configuration name is Certinia Navigation. This is a combination of all of the configurations in this navigation builder.

      • When you click outside this field, the API Name field is populated.

  4. [Optional] Edit the API name. This must be a unique name.
    Note: The combined character limit of the Prefix and API Name fields is 40 characters.
  5. Click Save.
