Process Runs and Process Logs

Process runs are created by asynchronous (background) processes started by some Certinia applications, including some features in Revenue Management. They enable you to track the progress of asynchronous processes, and view process logs containing success or error information.

You can access process runs, and their related process logs, from the Process Runs tab.

Deleting Process Logs

The deletion of process logs in Revenue Management varies depending on which feature created the process run:

  • When you run the deferred revenue true-up process, existing process logs more than 30 days old are deleted.
  • When you run recognition schedule processes such as Generate and Recognize asynchronously, existing process logs more than 7 days old are deleted if the Delete Recognition Schedule Async Logs field is selected in the Revenue Management Settings custom setting. If this field is not selected, existing process logs are not deleted.
  • Process logs created by asynchronous processes to create or update revenue contracts are not deleted.

If old process runs and process logs are accumulating in your org, you can delete them manually from the Process Runs tab.

Warning:

Do not delete a process run that is still running.
