Allocation Basis Fields

The Allocation Basis object includes the following fields.

Fields

Key: * – Mandatory field, L – Lightning only

Field			Description
Allocation Basis Name			Unique name of the allocation basis.
Company			Company for the allocation basis, set at header level. This is useful if you want to store a number of allocation value records. You can enter the company details either here at header level or in the Company column on each line in the grid. You cannot enter the company details at both header and line level. You cannot change the company if you have already created lines in the statistical basis grid for that company. You must delete the lines before you can change the company. Note: In Lightning, you can specify the Accounting company at line level only.
Date			Date these statistical values were created (defaults to today's date). This date is for reference only. Allocations always use the most recent version of a statistical basis, regardless of the date entered in this field.
Description		255	Description of the allocation basis.
Include Disabled Dimensions	L		When selected, the disabled dimensions are included in the drop-down list of the dimension fields in the Criteria tab.
Period			Accounting period you want to retrieve data from for the selected company.
Unit of Measure	*		Displays the following options to select: "People" or "Square Feet". If required, you can update this picklist values and add more relevant unit of measures. Contact your administrator to update it.

Allocation Basis Criteria Grid

To find specific entries in the grid, type in the Search field. In Lightning these fields are visible in the Allocation Basis Criteria grid.

Key: * – Mandatory field

Field		Description
Company		Company for the allocation basis, set at line level. This is useful if you only want to store one statistical value record for your entire org. You can enter the company details either here at line level or in the Company field at header level. You cannot enter the company details at both header and line level. Note: In Lightning, you can specify the company at line level only.
General Ledger Account		GLA for the allocation basis. This column is hidden by default. To view it, click the down arrow in a dimension column heading and select Columns. You can then select the General Ledger Account column name. Local GLAs are not supported in statistical bases. Note: In Lightning, this field is visible in the grid by default. To hide it, right-click the column header and select Hide Column.
Dimension 1-4	*	Dimensions used in the allocation basis. Note: In Lightning, Dimension fields are not mandatory.
Total		Total of the values entered for all rows in the grid.
Value	*	Allocation value for the corresponding GLA or dimension.

Versions Grid

The following fields are displayed in the Versions grid, which contains all previous versions of this statistical basis: In Lightning, click the Versions tab on the Allocation Basis record page.

Field	Description
Author	Username of the person who created or last edited the allocation basis.
Date	Date this entry was saved in the Allocation Basis Versions grid.
Description	Description of the allocation basis.
Statistical Basis Name	Name of the statistical basis. Click to view details of this version.
Version	The version number of the allocation basis. Click the version to view its details. Note: In Lightning, this field is Version Number.

Buttons

Key: L – Lightning only

Button		Description
Cancel		Cancels without saving.
Delete		Deletes the currently displayed allocation basis.
Duplicate	L	Duplicates the allocation basis along with its lines.
Edit		Edits the currently displayed allocation basis. When you save your changes, the previous details are saved in the Versions grid for reference and the new details become the most recent version that is used in any subsequent allocations.
Import CSV		Imports statistical values in bulk from a comma separated value file. Note: This button is visible in Sencha only.
Most Recent Version		If you are viewing an older version of a statistical basis, this takes you back to the version that is currently being used for allocations. Note: This button is visible in Sencha only.
Open		Enables you to attach files to this statistical basis and manage any files that are attached. You can attach up to 25 MB. Note: This button is visible in Sencha only.
Allocation Bases List		Returns you to the Allocation Bases list view. Note: This button is visible in Sencha only.
Save		Saves the current statistical basis details as the most recent version. If this button is not displayed, click Edit.
Select Distribution Fields	L	Displays the distribution fields to select from. Only the selected fields are then displayed on the distribution criteria grid of the statistical basis.
		Opens the related Accounting Help topic. Note: This button is visible in Sencha only.
		Maximizes or restores the page in your browser window. We recommend that you maximize the Statistical Basis page to make it as easy as possible to see all the details. Note: This button is visible in Sencha only.
	L	Adds lines to the Criteria grid.
	L	Clones the selected lines.
	L	Deletes the selected lines.
