Accounting Playbook Fields

The Accounting Playbook object includes the following fields.

Description
Auto-Generated R If selected, indicates that the playbook was generated from the default year end playbook template.This field is for system use only and is not displayed on any Lightning components or page layouts.
Company   The company for the accounting playbook.
Description  

The description for the accounting playbook.

If you have validated your playbook, this field also contains the date the validation process was last run. This is updated every time you run the validation process. For more information, see Year End Playbook Templates.

Due Date   The date until when the accounting playbook is valid. This date cannot be earlier than the start date of the playbook.
Name * The unique name of the accounting playbook.
Overdue   Displays when the accounting playbook due date is earlier than the current date. This field is displayed in the Details tab.
Period   The period for which the accounting playbook will be created. When you search for the period, the drop-down list displays the periods of the selected company.
Period End Date   The period end date of the period selected for the accounting playbook. This field is auto-populated once the period is selected and is displayed in the Details tab.
Playbook Owner   The owner of the accounting playbook who is responsible to ensure that the tasks are completed by the assignees.
Start Date * The start date of the accounting playbook. By default, the period end date is the start date.
Status  

Displays the status of the accounting playbook. The following statuses are shown:

  • Not Started - When all the related tasks are not started or there are no related tasks.
  • In Progress - When at least one related task is in progress or blocked.
  • Complete - When all the related tasks are done.
  • Approved - When all the related tasks are approved.
Type  

Specified the accounting playbook type. If you generate the playbook from a template, it inherits the type from the template. The available types are:

  • None
  • Period End
  • Year End
Year   The year for which the accounting playbook will be created. When you search for the year, the drop-down list displays the years of the selected company.
Year End Date   The year end date of the year selected for the accounting playbook. This field is auto-populated when the year is selected and is displayed in the Details tab.

Buttons

The following buttons appear on an Accounting Playbook page.

Button Description
Clone Makes a copy of the existing accounting playbook.
Delete Deletes the accounting playbook.
Edit Displays the fields to edit for the accounting playbook.
Validate This button only displays on playbooks generated from the default year end accounting playbook template. You can use it to launch the validation process, which will check that the requirements of the tasks generated from the default year end task templates have been fulfilled. The following buttons appear on the Remove and Replace Users window.

Button Description
Replace for All Records Replaces the user that you want to remove with the new user in all the related records. For more information, see Removing and Replacing Users
Select Records Displays the windows with records to select the records where you want to replace the selected user. For more information, see Removing and Replacing Users
