Inserting a Row in the Plan Table in Tree View
To insert a row in the plan table in tree view:
- Open the plan scenario in which you want to insert the row.
-
Depending on where you want to insert the row, do one of the following:
- To insert the new row in an existing group, in the Hierarchy column, right-click the dimension value of the row that belongs to the existing group and under which you want to insert the new row.
- To insert the new row in an existing group, click next to an existing row that belongs to the group and under which you want to insert the new row.
- To insert the new row in a new group or an existing group, click in the plan table toolbar.
- Click Insert Row. The Insert Row window displays. The window contains a field for each of the row-level dimensions defined for the plan. If you clicked Insert Row on an existing row, the higher-level dimension values are automatically populated.
-
Specify a dimension value for the first dimension. Under the name of the dimension, do one of the following:
- If the dimension value already exists in the plan, search for and select the dimension value.
-
If the dimension value does not exist in the plan, do the following:
- Enter the dimension value.
- Select the new value from the drop-down list.
- Repeat the previous step to specify values for the remaining dimensions.
-
Click Insert. The row is inserted in the table.
If the row belongs to a new group, a subtotal row is automatically created for the new group. By default, the subtotal row sums all the values in that group. You can change the formulas or enter numeric values, according to your requirements. For more information, see Entering a Value in a Table Cell.
