Plan Table Overview

The plan table consists of columns, rows, and cells.

Columns contain dimension values grouped together to establish a hierarchy. For example, your plan might contain the following column dimensions: Year, Quarter, Period. If your plan is configured to display measures as columns, the lowest level column represents the measure.

Rows contain dimension values. For example, your plan might contain the following row dimensions: Trial Balance 1, Trial Balance 2, and GLA. If your plan is configured to display measures as rows, the name of the measure is displayed in the row.

A table cell is uniquely identified by the combination of dimension values and a measure. For example, a cell might be defined as follows:

  • Year: 2025
  • Quarter: Q1
  • Period: 001
  • Trial Balance 1: Assets
  • Trial Balance 2: Current Assets
  • GLA: 1020 - Accounts Receivable
  • Measure: Dual
  • Value: 491,945.5

Depending on how the plan is configured, this might be displayed as Example Table Cell - Column Measure, Example Table Cell - Row Measure, or Example Table Cell - Tree View.
