Changing the Position of a Row in the Plan Table

You can reorder the rows in a plan table to display them in a more meaningful way according to your requirements.

Note:

If your plan is configured to display the plan table in tree view, the following restrictions apply:

  • When you move a higher-level dimension value, the entire group moves with it.
  • You can only reorder values within their group. You cannot move a lower-level dimension value to another group. To achieve this, you must create a new row and copy the cells.
  • When reordering groups, we recommend that you collapse them. This makes it easier to properly position the group that you are moving.

You can change the position of a row by dragging any of its dimension values and dropping it into a new position. Alternatively, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the plan scenario that contains the row whose position you want to change.
  2. Right-click a dimension value that belongs to the row that you want to move.
  3. Depending on the required position, do one of the following:

    • Click Move Row Up to move the row up by one position. This is only available if the row is not already at the top of the table or its group.
    • Click Move Row Down to move the row down by one position. This is only available if the row is not already at the bottom of the table or its group.
  4. Repeat the previous step until the row reaches the required position.
  5. Click Save to save your changes.
