Auto-Staffing Resource Requests Using the Certinia Resourcing Agent
The Certinia Resourcing agent triggers Auto-Staffing on resource requests, so that a matched resource is held or assigned according to your Intelligent Staffing configuration.
You can ask the Certinia Resourcing agent to enable Auto-Staffing on a resource request, or on several resource requests in a single message. The agent triggers the same Auto-Staffing process that runs when you select the Auto-Hold or Auto-Assign checkbox on a resource request, so the matched resource is held or assigned according to your existing Intelligent Staffing configuration. You cannot use Auto-Staffing on a resource request that is already held or assigned, and Auto-Assign requires the request to be associated with a project. When you ask for multiple requests in one message, the agent processes each one independently and reports any that it could not auto-staff along with the reason.
The agent identifies held resources in query results so that you can see which candidates are already held against another request. Resource request statuses are also displayed using their user-facing labels in agent responses; for example, the underlying Hold status is shown as Held.
- Open an agent chat.
-
Describe the change you want to make. For example:
- To auto-hold a resource: Auto-staff the <resource request name> resource request with Auto-Hold
- To auto-assign a resource: Auto-staff the <resource request name> resource request with Auto-Assign
- To auto-staff multiple requests in one message: Auto-staff resource requests <resource request name 1>, <resource request name 2>, and <resource request name 3> with Auto-Hold
- Review the details on the approval card and click Approve to enable Auto-Staffing, or click Reject to cancel. If you asked for more than one resource request, the approval card lists each request; the agent reports any that it could not auto-staff with a reason and proceeds with the eligible ones. The Auto-Staffing process then runs in the background and updates each resource request once a matching resource is held or assigned.
