Creating Resource Requests Using the Certinia Resourcing Agent

The Certinia Resourcing agent creates resource requests on your behalf, using your current page context to populate default values and asking for anything it cannot infer.

You can ask the Certinia Resourcing agent to create resource requests for the project or opportunity you are viewing. The agent reads the project or opportunity record as page context, applies its default values to the new request, and asks you for any missing details in conversation. To create a request for a different record, name that project or opportunity explicitly in your message. If you name both a project and an opportunity, the agent verifies that the project belongs to the opportunity before creating the request.

The agent presents an approval card before any record is created. Creation requires your approval, validation uses the same rules as direct creation in Salesforce, and the agent enforces your existing PSA permissions.

The agent must identify a project or an opportunity to create the request:

  1. Open the project or opportunity you want to create the resource request for, then open an agent chat.
  2. Describe the resource request you want to create. For example, enter Create a resource request for a senior developer from <start date> to <end date> for <number> hours. To create a resource request for a project or opportunity other than the one you are viewing, name it explicitly in your message.
  3. If the agent prompts you for additional details, provide them in the chat. The agent combines the values it inferred from the project or opportunity with the values you provide and presents an approval card that summarizes the resource request.
  4. Review the values on the approval card. Click Approve to create the resource request, or click Reject to cancel and continue refining the request in conversation.
  5. The agent confirms the outcome in the chat as soon as the resource request is created. If validation fails, the agent reports the error so that you can correct it and resubmit.

You can only create resource requests that you would be able to create directly in Salesforce. The agent enforces your existing PSA permissions.
