Managing Skills on a Resource Request Using the Certinia Resourcing Agent

The Certinia Resourcing agent adds and removes skills and skill sets on resource requests, with all changes requiring your approval before they are saved.

Note:

This feature is part of the Certinia Early Adopter Program. This program is only available to a limited number of customers. For more information, contact your Certinia Account Team.

You can ask the Certinia Resourcing agent to add or remove the skills and skill sets recorded on a resource request. Skill changes feed directly into resource matching, so they take effect the next time you ask the agent to find suitable candidates.

When you add a skill set, the agent first shows the individual skills inside it so that you can override default ratings and essential or desirable indicators before saving. Duplicate skills are skipped with a warning while non-duplicates are still added in the same message. All skill changes require your approval before any record is saved, and the agent enforces your existing PSA permissions.

  1. Open the resource request you want to update, then open an agent chat.
  2. Describe the change you want to make. For example:

    • To add a skill: Add <skill name> to this resource request with rating <number> as essential
    • To add a skill set: Add the <skill set name> skill set to this resource request
    • To remove a skill: Remove <skill name> from this resource request
  3. If you add a skill set, the agent first shows the individual skills inside it with default ratings and essential or desirable indicators. Review the list and provide any overrides in the chat before continuing.
  4. Review the values on the approval card. Click Approve to apply the changes, or click Reject to cancel and continue refining the change in conversation.
  5. The agent confirms the outcome in the chat. If a skill you tried to add is already on the resource request, the agent skips that entry and reports the existing record in the chat, while still adding any other skills in the same message that are not duplicates.
Note:

The agent enforces your existing PSA permissions, so you can only make changes that you would be able to make directly in Salesforce.
