The following new features have been introduced in the Summer 2026 release of Order and Inventory Management.

Improve Your User Experience with Expanded Lightning
We've continued to make ongoing enhancements to ensure an optimized Lightning experience while using sales orders. These improvements span across various functionalities, ensuring a seamless and more productive workflow.
Streamlined Process For Splitting Sales Order Lines
We've introduced the new Split Lines Lightning action on the Sales Order Line Items grid. This enhanced feature replaces the legacy Split Sales Order Lines action and its Visualforce page.
We've also rearranged the columns that display in the Sales Order Line Items grid. This change is designed to present the most critical information upfront, requiring less horizontal scrolling and making it faster to identify key details.
In addition, the enhanced interface guides you through the splitting process, providing two new windows where you can manage key data, as well as updating billing and shipping details. This improves the traceability of the process, with minimal administrative burden and reduced fulfillment errors.
In line with the upgrades listed above, we're retiring both the aforementioned Split Sales Order Lines action and its Visualforce page. They'll be deactivated in a future release, no sooner than 12 months from now. We'll continue to support the Split Sales Order Lines action and its Visualforce page until deactivation, but recommend that you start using the new Lightning button. Work with your administrator to start using it.

Optimized Sales Order Lightning Record Page
We've also added the new Clone Lightning action on the Sales Order Lightning record page. This is a critical and time-saving function that allows you to efficiently create a new sales order by replicating the details from an existing, source sales order. This feature replaces the legacy SO Clone web link action and its Visualforce page.
Consequently, we're retiring both the aforementioned SO Clone web link action and its Visualforce page. They'll be deactivated in a future release, no sooner than 12 months from now. We'll continue to support the SO Clone action and its Visualforce page until deactivation, but recommend that you start using the new Lightning button. Work with your administrator to start using it.

Enhanced Sales Order Line Item Lightning Record Page
We've introduced the new Allocate Lightning action on the sales order line item's detail page. This new feature allows you to confirm allocation while reviewing all relevant line item details, minimizing errors. It also gives sales and fulfillment teams greater control over inventory reservation, which is crucial for managing demand, prioritizing urgent orders, and ensuring promised delivery dates are met.

Advanced Order Fulfillment with Summary Cards and Filters
We've introduced summary cards and filters to provide immediate and clear visibility into key inventory and order information when you are in the process of allocating a sales order line item. You can now allocate inventory using a redesigned window with six summary cards and six filters.

Improved Sales Order Line Allocation from the Grid
We've added the new Allocate Line Lightning action to the Sales Order Line Items grid on the sales order's record page. This saves you time, as you can allocate a line directly from the grid, instead of opening each sales order line item's detail page.

Simplified Sales Order and Sales Order Line Item Cancellation
We've introduced the new Cancel Lightning action on both the Sales Order and Sales Order Line Item Lightning record pages. You can now cancel a sales order, together with all of its sales order lines, or cancel an individual sales order line item, directly from the record page.
Consequently, we're retiring the legacy Cancel Order web link action on the Sales Order object and the Cancel Line web link action on the Sales Order Line Item object. They'll be deactivated in a future release, no sooner than 12 months from now. We'll continue to support these web link actions until deactivation, but recommend that you start using the new Lightning actions. Work with your administrator to start using them.

Automate Order Allocation with Invocable Actions
You can now use new invocable actions to automate order allocation in Salesforce Flow Builder, Agentforce, and other agents. These actions expose existing Order and Inventory Management allocation services, so you or an AI agent can allocate and reverse allocate sales orders and production orders as part of an automated flow, without opening each record.
The following invocable actions are available:
- Allocate a Set of Sales Order Lines
- Fully Allocate a Production Order
- Fully Allocate a Sales Order
- Fully Reverse Allocate a Production Order
- Fully Reverse Allocate a Sales Order
