Associating Project Tasks with Milestones

You can associate a project task with an existing project milestone. Bottom up planning uses this information to generate resource requests.

To associate the selected project task with a milestone:

1. Select the project that you want to edit.
2. Optionally, create some project tasks.
3. Do one of the following:
• In the Task pane, click the Milestone cell and select a milestone from the drop-down list.
• In the Schedule pane, double-click the task duration bar for the project task and, on the General tab, select a milestone and click OK.

  You can only edit the milestone's target date on the detail record: click View Detail to view the milestone detail in a new browser window.
4. Click Save.
