Searching

There are several ways in which you can locate a task in Project Task Gantt. You can use a combination of the following:

• Enter text in the Search Tasks field to narrow the displayed tasks based on the text you enter. If you want to view tasks that have been assigned to you, enter your name in the Search Tasks field.
  Tips

  

  If you enter a small number of characters in this field, no search results may be returned. We recommend using meaningful names for project tasks and searching for several characters or whole words.

  To search for project tasks assigned to a particular resource, type the name of that resource.
• Scroll the timeline using the Navigation buttons.
• Change the zoom level of the Schedule pane so that all tasks fit.
• Change the zoom level of the Schedule pane to show years and months, months and weeks or weeks and days.
• Sort tasks by their column heading in ascending or descending order.
• Click Locate to bring the selected task into view.
