Classic Services Forecasts Overrides Overview

Note:

This topic applies to Classic Services Forecasting, which is no longer supported and has been superseded by Enhanced Services Forecasting. For information on Enhanced Services Forecasting, see Enhanced Services Forecasting Overview.

Use overrides to generate more accurate forecasts, based on top-level insight, for your services organization.

An override is a forecast, entered by a user in a parent role, that adjusts the forecasted amounts entered by a subordinate. Override amounts for both RPGs and projects are entered in the standard way but on the appropriate Override row; for example, the "Region Override" row in the Regions category is used for forecast overrides entered by the Region owner.

The Services Forecasts page always privileges forecast overrides:

However, entering a forecast override is not essential.

To get started, read Overriding a Services Forecast.

Note: Note
If you are an RPG owner or Project Manager, you can override some forecasts without having been granted permission controls—see Classic Services Forecasting Permissions Overview for more information.
