Creating Multi-Account Contacts

You can create multi-account contacts from multiple companies account config and contact records.

Creating Multi-Account Contacts from Multiple Companies Account Configs

To create a multi-account contact from a multiple companies account config:

  1. From the relevant multiple companies account config record, go to the Related tab.
  2. From the Multi-Account Contacts section, click New. The New Multi-Account Contact window opens.
  3. Select a contact.
  4. Check the multiple companies account config record automatically populated in the Multiple Companies Account Config field. The record matches the record that you create the multi-account contact from.
  5. [Optional] Select the Primary Contact checkbox if you want to use the contact when sending customer statements in Automated Collections.
  6. Click Save.
  7. [Optional] Repeat steps 2-6 to create as many contacts as you need.

Creating Multi-Account Contacts from Contacts

To create a multi-account contact from a contact:

  1. From the relevant contact record, go to the Related tab.
  2. From the Multi-Account Contacts section, click New. The New Multi-Account Contact window opens.
  3. Select a multiple companies account config.
  4. [Optional] Select the Primary Contact checkbox if you want to use the contact when sending customer statements in Automated Collections.
  5. Click Save.
  6. [Optional] Repeat steps 2-5 to create as many contacts as you need.

Considerations

For the same multiple companies account config:

  • You can only set one multi-account contact as the primary contact.
  • You cannot create more than one multi-account contact associated with the same contact.
