Customizable Lightning Components
We recommend that you customize Customer Success Cloud with the following recommendations.
Account Page
We recommend that you make the following customizations to the Account page so that the data relevant to Customer Success Cloud is easily accessible from the Account page.
Add Success Tracker to the Account Record Page
Add the CSC Success Tracker component to the Account Record Page. For more information about adding components to a Lightning page, see Customer Success Cloud Lightning Components.
Add Activity Tracker to the Account Record Page
Add the CSC Activity Tracker component to the Account Record Page. For more information about adding components to a Lightning page, see Customer Success Cloud Lightning Components.
Add History Tracker to the Account Record Page
Add the CSC History Tracker component to the Account Record Page. For more information about adding components to a Lightning page, see Customer Success Cloud Lightning Components.
Add Value Tracker to the Account Record Page
Add the CSC Value Tracker component to the Account Record Page. For more information about adding components to a Lightning page, see Customer Success Cloud Lightning Components.
Add Fields to the Highlight Panel on the Account Page
- In Setup | Object Manager, click Account.
- Click Compact Layouts.
- Click New and enter a label and name for the layout. For example, enter CSM Account View and CSM_Account_View in the label and name field respectively.
- Add the following fields to the layout:
- Type
- Phone
- Website
- Account Owner
- Account Site
- Industry
- Click Save.
- From the Compact Layouts page, click Compact Layout Assignment and select the layout you just created.

Add a Playbooks Related List to the Account Page
In object manager, add the Playbooks related list to the Account page layout. For more information about adding related lists to page layouts, see the Salesforce Help.
Add a CS Activities Related List to the Account Page
In object manager, add the CS Activities related list to the Account page layout. For more information about adding related lists to page layouts, see the Salesforce Help.
Add an Account Customer Success Resources Related List to the Account Page
In object manager, add the Account Customer Success Resources related list to the Account page layout, so that you can create records for the Account Customer Success Resource object quickly and efficiently. For more information about adding related lists to page layouts, see the Salesforce Help.
Add an Activity Contacts Related List to the Contact Page
In object manager, add the Activity Contacts related list to the Contact page layout. For more information about adding related lists to page layouts, see the Salesforce Help.
Add the CSC Actions: Playbooks Component to the Account Page
Add the CSC Actions: Playbooks component to the Account page. For more information about adding components to a lightning page, see Customer Success Cloud Lightning Components.
Activity Tracker
We recommend adding Activity Tracker to the Customer Success Management Workspace and any additional record pages. For more information, see Activity Tracker Overview.

Enable Tracking for Recommended Objects and Fields
To view the most relevant information in History Tracker, we recommend enabling tracking for the following supported objects and fields:

Value Tracker
We recommend adding custom fields to Value Tracker. This enables customer success managers to view more information about their objective KPIs.
Add Custom Fields to Value Tracker
To add custom fields to Value Tracker:
- From Setup | Lightning App Builder, open the page or workspace where Value Tracker is enabled.
- Click the Value Tracker grid.
- Click the Value Tracker tab to display the properties pane.
- In the Additional Objective KPI Fields drop-down list, select the objective KPI field set that defines the additional fields to display in Value Tracker. Selecting --None-- displays no additional fields.
- Save your changes and activate the page if required.
- [Optional] Set your changes as the org wide default and click Close.
Account Health Score Dashboard
We recommend adding the Account Health Score Dashboard to the customer success segment record page and account record page and adding filters so that the results are context sensitive to the page you're currently viewing.
Add the Account Health Score Dashboard to the Customer Success Segment Record Page
To add the Account Health Score dashboard to the customer success segment record page, complete the following steps:
- Open the Lightning App Builder from a customer success segment record page.
- Add the CRM Analytics Dashboard component to the record page.
- In the Properties pane CRM Analytics Dashboard, select Account Health Score.
- Set the component height. We recommend 300 pixels.
- In the Dashboard Filters section, click Add dashboard Filter. Populate the fields as follows:
- Data Source: Metrics
- Data Source: Segment ID
- Operator: Equals
- In the Object Field section, click Select. The Select Object Field window opens.
- Select Record ID from the Select Field picklist.
- Click Done.
- Click OK in the filters window.
- Click Save in the Lightning App Builder to save your changes to the page layout.
Add the Account Health Score Dashboard to the Account Record Page
To add the Account Health Score dashboard to the account record page, complete the following steps:
- Open the Lightning App Builder from an account record page.
- Add the CRM Analytics Dashboard component to the record page.
- In the Properties pane CRM Analytics Dashboard, select Account Health Score.
- Set the component height. We recommend 300 pixels.
- In the Dashboard Filters section, click Add dashboard Filter. Populate the fields as follows:
- Data Source: Metrics
- Data Source: Account ID
- Operator: Equals
- In the Object Field section, click Select. The Select Object Field window opens.
- Select Account ID from the Select Field picklist.
- Click Done.
- Click OK in the filters window.
- Click Save in the Lightning App Builder to save your changes to the page layout.
Team Overview Dashboard
We recommend adding the Team Overview dashboard to record pages and app pages, and adding filters so that the results are context-sensitive to the page you're currently viewing.

Objective KPI Trending Dashboard
We recommend adding the Objective KPI Trending dashboard to record pages, and adding filters so that the results are context-sensitive to the page you're currently viewing.

To add the Objective KPI Trending dashboard to a record page:
- Open the Lightning App Builder from a record page.
- Add the CRM Analytics Dashboard component to the record page.
- In the Properties pane CRM Analytics Dashboard, select Objective KPI Trending.
- Set the component height. We recommend 300 pixels.
- Click Save in the Lightning App Builder to save your changes to the page layout.
Objective Page
We recommend adding the following components to the Objective page:
- CSC Actions: Record Pages
- CSC Activity Tracker
- CSC Success Tracker
- CSC Value Tracker

- We recommend that you add the Role field to the Details tab of the Playbook Layout Page Layout to enable the automatic allocation of resources to playbook records.

Customer Success Management Workspace
Add the CSC Success Tracker component to the Customer Success Management Workspace. For more information about adding components to a Lightning page, see Customer Success Cloud Lightning Components.
Record Details Panel of Success Tracker
Administrators can use the fields of the CS Cloud Record Details Panel Settings custom setting to control the behavior of field sets in the Details section of the Record Details panel of Success Tracker. To specify a field set for the fields displayed in the Record Details panel of Success Tracker, enter the field set's API name in the related field of the CS Cloud Record Details Panel Settings custom setting. Activity Actions
We recommend adding the Activity Actions utility item to the utility bar of a cloned unmanaged app. For more information about cloning apps and customizing the utility bar, see the Salesforce Help.
Playbook Task Manager
We recommend making the following customizations for the Playbook Task Manager.
Adding the Playbook Task Manager to App and Record Pages
We recommend that you add the CSC Playbook Task Manager component to the app and record pages you want. For more information about adding components to a Lightning page, see Customer Success Cloud Lightning Components.
Reordering Playbook Tasks
To enable users to reorder playbook tasks in the Playbook Task Manager, you must:
- Assign the CSC - Customer Success permission set to their user profiles.
- Assign Read and Write permissions to the Order field in the Playbook Task object to these users.
