Copying Information from a Project Template

Notes:
  • The main procedure is for users of record pages supplied by Certinia from Fall 2020.
  • From Fall 2020, if you are not using the pages supplied by Certinia, your administrator can add the PSA Actions: Project Planning Tools component to the project record page.
  • The Copy to Project from Template action has been superseded by the Add Records from Template Lightning action. For more information, see Adding Records from a Template.

PSA enables you to copy all or selected sections such as project milestones, resource requests, project tasks and budgets from a project template to a current project. Your administrator can edit Project Field Sets to modify the fields that are displayed.

To copy information from a projectClosed A collection of activities and related items to be managed over a defined time range, such as timecards, expenses, milestones and budgets. template:

  1. On a project record, click Actions | Project Planning Tools | Copy to Project from Template. Using Classic or Lightning Visualforce pages:Closed On the project page, click Copy from Template. The Select Project Template page opens.
  2. Select a project template to copy information from and click Select. The Copy from Template page opens.
  3. Select the information you want to copy and deselect unwanted information.
  4. [Optional] Edit the values. See Copying from Project Template Fields.
  5. Click Copy. PSA copies the information to the project.
