Viewing Project Task Status Using the Certinia Services Delivery Agent
You can use the Certinia Services Delivery agent to identify the project tasks that are blocking progress or need attention using natural language in an agent chat. You can check a PSA project, a milestone, or a single project task. The agent only reads your project data and does not change any records.
The agent flags a project task as:
- Blocking, when either of the following applies:
- The task should have started but has not.
- The task has overrun, or will overrun, its parent task's target date.
- Needs attention, when either of the following applies:
- The task has overrun, or will overrun, its own end date.
- The task does not have an assigned resource.
The agent returns a summary, observations, and recommendations, followed by a table of task details. The table shows the start date and end date of each task, whether the task is blocking, and its key concern, such as "Should have started 12 days ago" or "Missing Resource".
You can ask the agent about:
- A project or milestone: The agent reports on the project tasks in that project or milestone. It returns up to 100 tasks, and when there are more, it tells you how many it is showing out of the total.
- A single project task: The agent reports on that task only. If the task is a summary task, the agent tells you how many child tasks it has and how many of them are blocking. You can then ask to view the child tasks.
- Blocking tasks or tasks that need attention: You can ask for only the blocking tasks, only the tasks that need attention, or both. The agent returns just those tasks, without the summary, observations, and recommendations.
- A task's schedule: You can ask about the planned start date, end date, or current status of a project task.
Task names can repeat within a project. If more than one task matches the name you enter, the agent lists the matching tasks with their status and dates for you to select from.
If no tasks are blocking or need attention, the agent tells you.
To view project task status:
- Open an agent chat and select the Certinia Services Delivery agent.
- Ask about the status of project tasks. For example, enter Which tasks are blocking on Project Alpha?, or Show me the tasks that need attention on Project Alpha.
If your request matches more than one record, the agent presents a numbered list for you to select from. The agent then returns the project task status in the chat.
