Setting up the Salesforce Output Connector for CS Cloud Analytics

The Salesforce Output Connector enables you to save the health score calculated by the Metrics data set, and surface it on your own custom field on the account record page.

Note: You must be assigned the CRM Analytics Platform User permission set to set up the connector. For more information, see CS Cloud Analytics Permission Sets.

Setting up the Salesforce Output Connector for Use in CS Cloud Analytics

To enable the connector to write the health score to the account object in Customer Success Cloud, you must complete the following steps.

1 Create a number field on the Account object that you want to save the customer health score value to. You can have up to two health score fields. For example, "Health Score 1" and "Health Score 2". For more information about creating custom fields, see the Salesforce Help.
2 Ensure the Salesforce output connection is enabled in your org.

To do this, from Setup navigate to Analytics | Settings, then ensure that the Enable Salesforce output connection checkbox is selected.

3 Set up the Salesforce Output Connector. For more information about setting up the Salesforce Output Connector, see the Salesforce Help.

Create or update a CS Cloud Analytics setup record with the following information about the connector and field.

  • Account Health Score Field 1: The API name of the first field on the Account object that the health score will be saved to.
  • Account Health Score Field 2: The API name of the second field on the Account object that the health score will be saved to.
  • Output Connector Name: The developer name of the output connection.

5 Ensure the relevant health score output field is selected on the account customer success segment record. For example, to surface the health score defined in Account Health Score Field 1 on the associated account record page, select Health Score Output 1 on the account customer success segment record.
