Veda Page Overview
The Veda page is a dedicated version of agent chat that gives you more space to work with detailed or complex responses. The page includes the same features as agent chat. For more information about the features in agent chat, see Agent Chat Overview. Additionally, the Veda page enables you to review, resume, search, and remove your past conversations with any agent.
When you open the page from the chat container, your active conversation carries over so that you can continue it without losing context. A conversation can be open in the chat container or on the page, but not in both at the same time. When you open the page, the container closes.
You can also access the Veda page from the App Launcher.
Tables in agent responses extend across the full width of the page. If a table is wider than the page, you can scroll it horizontally.
Side Panel
The side panel on the left of the page contains the New Chat and Search buttons and your past conversations. To give the conversation more space, click Collapse side panel at the top of the side panel. When the side panel is collapsed, only the Expand side panel, New Chat, and Search buttons display. To show your past conversations again, click Expand side panel.
Conversation History
The Veda page includes a side panel that lists your last 100 conversations with any agent. The side panel lists the conversations in order of when they were last active, with the most recent at the top, and highlights the open conversation. Each conversation shows your first message, along with when the conversation was last active: the time if it was today, or the date if it was earlier. When you send the first message in a new conversation, it appears in the list.
When you click a past conversation, it opens on the page, and you can send a message to continue it where you left off. A divider below the last message shows when the conversation was last active. You can resume a conversation that was last active within the last 30 days. A conversation that was last active more than 30 days ago opens in read-only mode, and you can start a new chat instead.
A resumed conversation describes the records as they were when you last worked with them, and they might have changed since. After 30 minutes or more of inactivity, the agent is instructed to look up a record again before it tells you the record's current values.
In a past conversation, a question card displays the option you chose, or "[Not provided]" if you skipped the question or replied in the input field. If you resume a conversation that ends with a question card you didn't answer, you can still answer it.
In a past conversation, the steps that the agent took are displayed as a summary above each response. You can expand and collapse the list of steps.
You can remove a conversation that you no longer need from your history. A removed conversation no longer displays in the side panel or in search results. A copy of the conversation stays available to your administrator for compliance purposes.
Conversation Search
You can search the messages in your 100 most recent conversations to find a conversation that you want to review or continue. Click Search in the side panel and enter the words you want to find. The results display as you type, with the most recent messages at the top. When you click a result, the conversation opens at the matching message.
