Creating Estimate Risks Using the Certinia Estimation Agent

You can ask the Certinia Estimation agent in an agent chat to create estimate risks on a project estimate, individually or several at once. Enter your request in natural language and the agent completes the operation, respecting your Salesforce field-level security for estimate risk records.

Note:

This feature is part of the Certinia Early Adopter Program. This program is only available to a limited number of customers. For more information, contact your Certinia Account Team.

Creating an Estimate Risk

To create an estimate risk:

  1. Open an agent chat and select the Certinia Estimation agent.
  2. Describe the risk you want to create. For example, enter Add a risk to the <estimate name> estimate: the senior architect may not be available, likelihood high, impact very high. You must include an estimate risk name. The estimate and currency are inherited automatically from your conversation context.
  3. If the agent cannot determine any mandatory details from your message, it asks for them. Provide the missing information to continue.
  4. [Optional] Add likelihood and impact ratings. You can enter plain-language values such as "high" or "very likely." The agent maps these to the standard scale. If your phrasing is ambiguous, the agent confirms the mapping with you.
  5. [Optional] Add a mitigation plan, contingency notes, or comments.
  6. [Optional] Link the risk to an Estimate Product Instance.
  7. The agent creates the estimate risk and confirms the outcome in the chat. If you provided both a likelihood and an impact, the agent also displays the calculated severity score.
Note:

The parent estimate, currency, and Estimate Product Instance cannot be edited after an estimate risk is created.

Creating Multiple Estimate Risks

To create several estimate risks in one request:

  1. Open an agent chat and select the Certinia Estimation agent.
  2. Describe all the risks you want to create in a single message. You must include an estimate risk name for each risk. The estimate and currency are inherited automatically from your conversation context. For example, enter Add three risks to the <estimate name> estimate: senior architect availability with likelihood high and impact very high, currency fluctuation with likelihood medium and impact high, and scope creep with likelihood medium and impact high.
  3. The agent displays the full list of estimate risks it is about to create, including the calculated severity score for each record where both likelihood and impact are provided, and asks for confirmation before proceeding.
  4. Confirm to proceed. The agent creates the estimate risks and confirms the outcome in the chat.
