Updating Services Products Using the Certinia Estimation Agent

You can ask the Certinia Estimation agent in an agent chat to update services products on a project estimate, individually or several at once. Enter your request in natural language and the agent completes the operation, respecting your Salesforce CRUD permissions for the Services Product object.

This feature is part of the Certinia Early Adopter Program. This program is only available to a limited number of customers. For more information, contact your Certinia Account Team.

Updating a Services Product

To update a services product:

1. Open an agent chat and select the Certinia Estimation agent.

2. Describe the change you want to make. For example:

   • To update the cost amount: Change the cost on <services product name> to $25,000
   • To update the bill amount: Change the bill amount on <services product name> to $40,000
   • To update the name: Rename <services product name> to <new name>
   • To set bill amount equal to cost: Set the bill amount equal to the cost on <services product name>
3. The agent updates the services product and confirms the outcome in the chat.

Note:

The parent estimate, currency, and Estimate Product Instance cannot be edited after a services product is created. If you ask the agent to change or clear the Estimate Product Instance, the agent declines and offers to help you delete the services product and create a new one with the correct link instead.

Updating Multiple Services Products

To update several services products at once:

1. Open an agent chat and select the Certinia Estimation agent.
2. Describe the change you want to make and the services products to target. For example, enter Update all services products on the <estimate name> estimate with a cost over $10,000: set the bill amount to match the cost.
3. The agent identifies all matching records, displays them with their current values and the proposed change, and asks for confirmation.
4. Confirm to apply the update. The agent updates all matching records and confirms the outcome in the chat.
