Updating Estimate Contingencies Using the Certinia Estimation Agent
You can ask the Certinia Estimation agent in an agent chat to update estimate contingency records on a project estimate, individually or several at once. Enter your request in natural language and the agent completes the operation, respecting your Salesforce field-level security for estimate contingency records.
Updating an Estimate Contingency
To update an estimate contingency:
- Open an agent chat and select the Certinia Estimation agent.
-
Describe the change you want to make. For example:
- To update the cost amount: Change the cost on the <contingency name> contingency to $6,000
- To update the billable amount: Set the billable amount on the <contingency name> contingency to $4,500
- To update the name: Rename the <contingency name> contingency to <new name>
- To add a description: Add a description to the <contingency name> contingency: to cover travel delays if the project is postponed
- The agent updates the estimate contingency and confirms the outcome in the chat.
Updating Multiple Estimate Contingencies
To update several estimate contingencies at once:
- Open an agent chat and select the Certinia Estimation agent.
- Describe the change you want to make and the estimate contingency records to target. For example, enter Increase the cost on all contingencies under $2,000 on the <estimate name> estimate to $2,500.
- The agent identifies all matching records, displays them with their current values and the proposed change, and asks for confirmation.
- Confirm to apply the update. The agent updates all matching records and confirms the outcome in the chat.
